Copper And Bass Pipeline Installation

range

This process standard is applicable to the installation of copper pipes with working pressure below 4MPa and temperature of 250~-196℃ and brass pipes with working pressure below 22MPa and temperature of 120~-158℃.

Construction preparation.
Common materials:
Pipe: Commonly used copper pipes (industrial pure copper) and brass pipes (copper-zinc alloy) are divided into drawn pipes, rolled pipes and extruded pipes according to different manufacturing methods. Generally, medium and low pressure pipes use drawn pipes .
The grades of commonly used materials for copper tubes are: T2, T3, T4, TUP (deoxidized copper), which are divided into soft and hard types.
The commonly used material grades of brass tubes are: H62, H68, H85, HP659-1, which are divided into three types: soft, semi-hard and hard.

Copper alloy. In order to improve the performance of brass, tin and manganese are added to the alloy. Elements such as lead, zinc, and phosphorus become special brass.

The role of adding elements is briefly described as follows:
Adding tin can improve the strength of brass, and can significantly improve its corrosion resistance to seawater, so tin brass is also called "navy brass";
Adding manganese can significantly improve the alloy process performance, strength and corrosion resistance;
Adding lead improves the cutting performance and corrosion resistance, but the plasticity is slightly reduced;
Adding zinc can improve the mechanical properties and flow properties of the alloy;
Adding phosphorus can improve the toughness, hardness, wear resistance and fluidity of the alloy.
